Red Cape Crew Community Outreach

The Red Cape Crew

The Red Cape Crew is the community outreach arm of the Superman Hall of Heroes. Throughout the year, the Red Cape Crew will perform random acts of kindness or contribute to local community efforts. We will be highlighting our stories in this section of the website. Check in with us to follow our projects and partners as we strive to follow the examples set by our heroes and make the world a better place, one good deed at a time.

The Red Cape Crew will also let you know when and where we will be doing community outreach work. If our Red Cape Crew is coming to your town and you would like to volunteer, you can simply enter your information into the form below and click Sign Up.

Oh behalf of the Superman Hall of Heroes and the Red Cape Crew, we thank you for supporting heroes everywhere.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Dr. Shaquille O'Neal "Shaq" is a long time supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Shaquille’s relationship with the group dates back to his youth in Newark, New Jersey and he officially teamed up with them when he was drafted in 1992. He has put on several long-standing events in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Clubs, including Shaq-A-Claus, Shaq's-Giving and Toys for Tots.

Shaquille was kind enough to host the first Red Cape Crew event in Atlanta, Georgia at Georgia Tech University in May, 2014. Dr. Ajamu Banjoko from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta was also on hand to accept a gift of hundreds of Spalding basketballs. The Red Cape Crew and Shaquille O'Neal delivered the good news in grand fashion. Now thousands of kids will enjoy the game of basketball all summer long because of this donation.

Stay tuned for our next Red Cape Crew event as we strive to lead by example and be a hero to others.
