My dad is my hero, the first man I ever loved and the one man I can always count on.
He's taught me how to ride a bike, tie my shoes, kick a boys butt, change my tires, change my own oil, to be independent and all I need to know about superheroes. He's shown me what a real man is and how a husband/dad should be. He has always been there to pick me up when I fall, show me right from wrong, mend my pain and give me strength. He is my support, my encouragement and I hope I can be half as amazing as he is one day.
My dad gives his heart to everyone. He puts everyone’s needs before his own needs. My dad has been a volunteer Santa over 20 years, visiting hospitals, churches and schools. Last year he beat cancer, even during his treatments he took time to volunteer as Santa, with the Knight of Columbus and the Forest Service.
He spends as much time as possible with his family. Between volunteering with his grand kids and taking them to different events he still works full time. Always helping his children when they need it and being a great leader for his family.
My dad is my hero and he is the best dad ever because he doesn't need any super powers to change a life. He spreads love, hope and joy to as many people as he can.
