The most vivid memories of growing up were things that people tend to take for granted. I remember running around my living room with my Superman costume on and my Dad would be General Zod so I could play out the final fight scene in Superman 2. Him taking me to Little League practice and staying after to help me with my pitching. Or just going outside and playing basketball. Being little and my Dad having me on his lap and reading me comics. But the biggest thing I will always remember about my Dad is how much he loves his family. There's nothing he wouldn't do for the people that he loves.
I truly could not have a better father and role model. If you asked me when I was little to pick someone to be my dad, I may have said Superman. It wasn't until I had grown up more that I understood that all the good qualities Superman possesses, my Dad has and then some. That I already had Superman as my Dad. To me, you are what a hero should be.
I haven't said it enough, but thank you for everything you've done and that you still do for your family. Thank you for being my hero.
