Son, you have impacted my life in so many ways. You have always been compassionate, thoughtful, focused, positive despite the circumstances and always exhibit a ‘never give up” attitude.
You know the true meaning of being a friend and your passion for doing things that make people feel good and bring fun and happiness into their lives is undying. You are unselfish and positive and truly want to make other’s lives better.
You learned determination and the value of time at an early age, in large part due to your involvement in so many sports all while juggling a job. You always pushed yourself to be the best you could possibly be…whether it was in sports, in academics or as a friend.
Your deployment to Iraq was probably the most challenging time of your life but you not only excelled, you served as an example to many others. Your positive attitude, courage and faith made me realize my son was truly my hero and inspiration. Despite unfavorable living conditions, being separated from those you loved and extreme long and dangerous working conditions, you were always positive and found the good in every situation and were adamant that you were simply doing your job as an American Soldier. An attitude you share with many other American Soldiers who too are and always will be heroes! I am so proud of you and your service to our country. Your bronze star should serve as a constant reminder that you are and always will be a hero.
Now as a husband and father you continue being a hero. Your faith in God, devotion to family and love of country are the roots that make a strong and loving family. The positive example you provide your children and the love and support you provide your wife makes you the perfect inductee into the Superman Hall of Heros…an honor, so well deserved! I love you and couldn’t be prouder of the man you’ve grown to be!
